Challenge & Solutions

The project came with two main hurdles:

• Removing the existing flat panel videowall and preparing the surface for a new dvLED installation
• Creating a perfectly flat mounting surface—a rare feat in real-world walls

Enter the Zaxxis™ Mounting System. Engineered for precision, Zaxxis makes micro-adjustments quick and toolless, delivering a perfectly aligned wall without shimming or scraping. In less than 30 minutes, the Z-axis was dialed in—a process that can take other systems nearly a full day.

More about The Zaxxis Mounting System

The Zaxxis™ Rail Hook is located at each X & Y intersection on our modular Direct-View LED System. To achieve your perfect Z-axis alignment start with your Zaxxis™ Rail Hook in the fully closed position. Before adding the panels to your cabinets, rotate the fine adjustment as needed for up to a 15mm extension to compensate for any uneven surfaces in the wall or cabinet alignment.

The benefit of using Zaxxis is that it allows for the install team to get the wall up and fully adjusted the first time without the need for shimming or scraping. The toolless adjustment feature allows for the wall to have the z-axis adjustment, which typically takes the longest to adjust, to be done quickly and perfect the first time. This means that you save time on the overall installation and do not have to worry about cost overruns because of having difficulty getting the Z-axis adjusted properly.  The Z-axis adjustment on the video wall pictured here was done in less than 30 minutes, other mounting systems on the market could easily take almost a full day to get the Z-Axis adjusted.  

Implementation

The old Microsoft Surface Hub came down, cables were run, and the Zaxxis frame was assembled and adjusted on-site. Absen panels clicked into place, and by the end of the day, One Workplace had a fully functional, perfectly aligned dvLED wall ready for its first event.
